RD-1 Gear Drive - Internal Components (Unassembled)

This photo shows all of the major internal components of the originalRD-1 gear drive.  The front main bearing on the output shaft is a ball bearing.  The rear bearing is a "plain" bearing lubricated by the engine oil system.   The RD-1 is no longer in production as it was superceded by the RD-1A.
