Watson Farms Fly In    49FD   September 27, 2008 (No Rain Date)

Hosts:  David and Janice Watson

We will serve BBQ chicken at $7.00 per plate (may be less). We would really appreciate RSVPs at watson.david@ccbg.com or by telephone at 850-875-5076 days and 850-856-5515 at night. We would be very embarrassed if we didn’t prepare enough food, so please emphasize the RSVP. They need to be in by September 25 at the latest.

Our strip may be short for some pilots. Its 2000 feet long and 75 feet wide. It is grass and has trees on the south end. The north end is open. Please emphasize also that pilots will land and operate their airplanes at their own risk while at our farm. So much for the legal stuff. Out identifier is 49FD on Airnav. We will monitor 122.7. Runway headings are 14/32.

Van's Air Force: Florida Wing Information

Florida has a very informal - but FUN - RV Builder's Group thanks to the efforts of Rob Kermanj (www.beagleaviation.com), Bernie Kerr (from Treasure Coast Airpark) and, recently, Laura Crook (Shady Bend Airpark). Roughly once a month we get together for a breakfast or lunch Fly Out.  Sometimes we go to an airport restaurant (searching for the infamous $20 hamburger.)  Other times we go to a local Fly In together.  No matter what the activity, we always have a great time.

Want to help? We're always looking for ideas and help in organizing activities.

If you are a Florida or S. Georgia RV builder and would like to be included on the email list for future activities, or if you have ideas for the group and/or you'd like to help organize an event, please email Laura Crook at lcrook@rotaryaviation.com, Ollie Washburn at ollie-6a@prodigy.net or Lorene Washburn at lorenewashburn@hotmail.com.

Remember - you don't have to be flying to join us - driving in is great too!  Even if your RV is only a dream at this time, it can be very informative to talk to others who have already been where you are.
