The RD-1C is a 6 pinion drive, rated at 300 hp. The target engine for this drive is the Renesis RX-8 engine, but it will also be useful for those turning long props or running higher RPM on 13B or 20B engines. In the early tests we installed it on the 2nd Gen13B - performance was outstanding! As of August, 2004, we started flying it on the RX-8 Renesis engine and it has lived happily there ever since.
