(Above) This is the right side after all systems have been installed. Oil cooler is at
top-center.

(Above) The completed mount is bolted to the fuselage. The stock oil filter shown here was
later removed. A larger remote oil filter was installed on the firewall. The
long oil filler neck was also shortened to fit inside the cowl.

(Above) Close-up of left side. Note the oil return line from the Ross PSRU. It goes to a
fitting on the cover plate which replaced the oil injection pump. The stainless steel flex
pipe between the exhaust headers and the muffler eliminates stress and vibration. Exhaust
pipes are red hot in flight. Note the heat discolored paint on the submount. This photo
was taken before the heat shield between the exhaust headers and carburetors was
installed. The shield is an L-shaped piece of sheet aluminum bolted to the lower carb
mounting bracket (visible just above the red hose) and extends out under the carb bowls.

(Above) The intake and exhaust system has been added here as well as the left side lower
radiator mounting bracket. Note the two heater hose fittings installed in the water pump
housing (upper right in photo). The three carburetors shown in these photos flew for
650 hours over a 4 year period. They were replaced by the Real World Solutions EFI
system in June of 1998. Horsepower increased from 160 to 180 HP with this
change.
